Locations and Course Codes

All academies within our trust offer initial teacher training and our teaching and leadership teams are hugely supportive of trainee teachers.  Each year they will vary in what subject areas they can accommodate trainees – this is based on a number of factors including the capacity the department/key stage has to allocate a mentor, how many other trainees have been appointed at the academy already, how many early career teachers will be at the academy, etc.  

The best way to get an overview of which academy is offering training is to visit the ‘Find’ national teacher training website and select ‘The Leigh Academy’.  Our central team updates this regularly.  If there is a specific academy or location that you’d like to train in, either search for availability on the website or get in touch with the Recruitment Team.
